London-based label KNWLS – rebranded and renamed from charlotte knowles in 2021 – was founded in 2017 by Charlotte knowles and partner alexandre arsenault, who met while studying at london’s central saint martins.

KNWLS strives to embody an empowered but disruptive vision of femininity – one that’s simultaneously dangerous and sensual. A fierce, unapologetic wardrobe that allows room for self-expression, in which pieces act as armour against the world.

Having first shown on-schedule at london fashion week in 2018 as part of talent incubator fashion east, KNWLS drew attention for their slick, body-conscious separates which played with concealment and exposure. KNWLS secured a spot as an lvmh prize 2022 finalist and has recently collaborated with jean paul gaultier on a capsule collection that channels the attitude and irreverence true to both labels. As of 2023, knwls is stocked in over 30 of the most reputable stores worldwide and online.
